How I Spent My Weekend

Meet Sadie, the newest addition to my family. She was abandoned by her owner so hubby agreed we can take her in on a trial basis. Fingers crossed that it works out and that my other cat, Zoe, eventually accepts her. I know, I am a sucker.

Cardboard Love

You must check out Cardboard Love in a Digital World for the sweetest {and totally real} love notes. This website was brought to my attention by Jennifer Ramos of MadeByGirl. I enjoyed all of these love notes, which made it difficult to narrow down my favorites. These sum up how I feel about my own hubby. (Are you feeling butterflies yet?)

Food Blogs

I like to play in the kitchen every now and then. I'm certainly not an excellent cook, but that doesn't mean I'm not willing to learn. The summer heat has me completely unmotivated to enter the kitchen, but with fall around the corner, I'd like to ease my way into the culinary world. What food blogs do you all recommend? How I Spent My Weekend

I took a last minute trip to Lake George this past weekend with hubby and met my bff & her family there. It was a spontaneous trip for us, literally planned on Thursday, which I loved. We had a fun 5-hour drive, listening to Woodstock tunes in honor of the 40th anniversary. This is the view from the shore of the resort. This photo was taken right after sunrise. The weather was perfect and the scenery was breathtaking.
