Looking for a treat to make for your guy for Monday night football? These Sweet & Spicy Beer Nuts are the perfect game night snack.
Ingredients:
2 cups pecan halves
2 tsp salt
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp olive oil
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp ground red pepper
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup beer (I used Sam Adams Winter Ale)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with foil.
Mix pecans, salt, chili powder, olive oil, cumin and red pepper in small bowl. Spread mixture on prepared baking sheet. Toast 10 minutes. Cool on baking sheet on wire rack.
Combine sugar and beer in small saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat until mixture reaches 250 degrees on candy thermometer. Remove from heat.
Stir in nuts and loose spices. Spread sugared nuts on prepared baking sheet, separating clusters. Let cool completely and break up any large pieces before serving.
