Hey Asthmatics, know your limits!

World Asthma Day is here and it is about time we all join our hands together in creating awareness and care around the world. The theme of this year Asthma Day is "You Can Control Your Asthma".

So, it is about time you keep a tab on your limits. Watch out for these things and kick the asthma blues away:

  1. Exercise is important in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and a modicum of aerobic fitness.

  2. It is also important to gauge whether you need to take your medication before exercising in order to prevent exercise-induced asthma.

  3. Another important aspect of natural asthma management is to eat a wholesome and healthy diet and ensure that your body weight is within the optimum range.

  4. It is also important to not take any dietary supplements, natural or otherwise, without consulting your doctor. Some natural products may be made of possible allergens like bee pollen, and have the potential to trigger an asthma attack.

The first and most important rule in terms of asthma care is that it is better safe than to be sorry. So, keep your treatment options open, but stay within reach of your doctor!
