Bridals / Groomals in Provo Utah

Soon to be bride Andra and groom Jordan don’t believe in bad luck at all! Like the myth it's bad luck to see the Bride before the wedding day. They must be really lucky, we were all lucky that the rain didn’t down pour during the shoot, it held off till the next day! Jordan was relaxed and Andra was super sassy for the camera. Here are a couple favorite photo’s from the Bridal and Groomal session.
We can’t wait for their wedding in a couple of weeks!

What is fashion?

Is it about following the latest trend? Or buying the most sought after designer bags?

Fashion..
To some fashion is an art form. To others, it is almost a religion. But for most people it is a method of utilizing clothing, accessories and hair to show or hide something about yourself. You can use fashion to express yourself, to serve as an extension of your personality.

According to --Cynthia Durcanin works for Elle Magazine, "Fashion is a state of mind. A spirit, an extension of one's self. Fashion talks - it can be an understated whisper, a high-energy scream or an all knowing wink and a smile. Most of all fashion is about being comfortable with yourself, translating self-esteem into a personal style."

The most important thing is that you should be comfortable with yourself - that is where fashion begins from. Your confidence speaks volume and if you are happy from inside it gets out the best of you which no beauty product can do for you if you're not happy from inside.

One important thing to understand is
"fashion is for you, you are not for fashion"
We get so overwhelmed with what we see and hear all the time in magazines, on TV, through our friends that we forget about ourselves and start giving importance to the latest trends or how we look so much that instead of making us happy it makes us unhappy.

Fashion should not be taken too seriously that you lose the fun of it.

No matter how good you look from outside with the Chanel suit, Jimmy Choo pumps, Louis Vuitton bag, professional makeup, if you are not happy inside, it does not make any difference.

How does it help?
Most importantly, fashion is for you to make you feel good. That is its primary purpose. Fashion is a means of self-expression that allows people to try on many roles in life. Fashion is about change which is necessary to keep life interesting. Sometimes life gets so monotonous that fashion adds colour and breaks life's monotony. Sometimes a nice dress and a good hairdo can instantly lift up the mood.

When you are feeling at your worst you should always dress your best. Looking good can easily translate into feeling good. When you are well dressed and well put together, you feel confident because you know you look good. When you wear clothes that you like, that express your personal style, you feel happy and confident and that makes you look good. It may not be the latest in-thing, even a simple cardigan with a sexy camisole and a nice-fitted jeans can make the whole difference.

Most importantly....

Discussions about fashion, what is in, what is out, and what are this season's latest trends can be talked about all day. While the varied articles, fashion guru's advice provide information on how to look great, the bottom line is: what is within you is going to shine out to the exterior. Trends can be worn, but confidence will never be worn out. The top fashion of every season is having the strength of confidence on the inside of your personal self to make any outfit that is worn look its best.

Like I said earlier, fashion is for you to make you feel good.

More greatness

We decided to take advantage of the gorgeous fall colors before the snow comes in. Here some pictures from our walk. Oh by the way it was freezing, so I stole Will’s coat. ;) Not too excited for the super cold weather.

for the free-spirited you

i have been rocking and rolling in the workshop right after fashbash, buried with papers, sketches, pattern drafts, fabrics, chalk, loose thread... but now enjoying my weekend! at a lovely sunny spot ;D work will just have to resume on monday!

some sneaky peaky of what's to come!
i am a free-spirit purselette
rainbow wonderland sling
button-petals wristlet
{ the free-spirits range }
free-spirits don't want nor need a big bulky grandmama bag to lug around. no no. free-spirits travel freely! swinging along their very bare essentials, and that's all they'll need. no heavy burden. no silly unnecessary stuff to weigh down their bodies and soul. free and light enough to swing and dance, jump and skip along!

many of you have seen these first pieces launch at last wednesday's fashbash, and they have since sold! weeeee! thanks so much for the love! some of you have also placed in requests for different color combinations and fabric patterns, but i wasn't able to note down all of them unfortunately, so please feel free to drop me emails or gimme a buzz to let me know what you want! i'm friendly and don't bite. although i look like i do bite when i don't put a smile on my face. especially if i'm spacing out. which i do quite often. i was born like that, go bring it up with my mum. waha!
custom requests for colors only, will be accepted only until 22nd october (stubby, you have until then to give me your yoga bag specs!) because we'll be in full sewing frenzy mode all the way until the end of this year after that. i've never done this before, and decided to open it up because our group of lof regulars are ever growing, and i've had the good fortune of meeting so many of you already! :D you bunch are really such a dream come true! big grateful thanks!

for suggestions of products you'd want to get and you really want one done by littleoddforest, please go here!
tell me what you need!

p.s.
I CAN'T THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH FOR SUCH A GREAT FASHBASH!!!
{{{ GROUP HUGS!! }}}

Another Freedom Lost

Tonight, the first step in the nationalization of the American Financial System has taken place. This has happened despite the will of the people. The House and the Senate has been inundated with phone calls from Americans telling them not to pass this bailout. The Senate has now thumbed their noses at the American people.

There are no repercussions included in the bill passed by the Senate for those that helped cause this problem on Wall St. Barney Frank will still be in the House and Christopher Dodd will still be in the Senate.

There is still hope. The House Republicans did not go along with this on Monday when they voted on it. 95 Democrats also voted against it. This made House Speaker Nancy Pelosi look like a fool. But then there have been enough fools running around this debate for two weeks now that you’d need a roll of paper to list them all.

Congress has the lowest approval ratings in history. People don’t trust them. I’m hoping for the people to stand up on election day and eliminate anyone that voted for this bailout.

The markets work, but those in government don’t have what it takes to let the market work. This isn’t a solution to the problem. This is a new problem to be added to the existing problem. Among those problems are corrupt politicians, over regulations in some areas, under regulation in other areas. Loans to people that wouldn’t otherwise qualify for loans if the lending institutions weren’t forced by Congress to give those loans.

Investors wouldn’t buy a bad investment, so Congress stepped up and took our tax money and bought the bad investment for us. They aren’t at risk. OUR money is now at risk. Today we lost a freedom. The freedom for us to decide what is done with our money.

Now, the only thing that I can hope for is that I’m wrong and the idiots that nobody likes in Washington were right. I keep remembering the old line that even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Hopefully, this sad excuse for a Congress doesn’t make it worse when this doesn’t work.

I welcome your comments.

Brett
