Madison was sweet enough to let me interview her:
Tell me a bit about yourself.
I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I had a lot of creative energy that I explored through different mediums throughout by childhood. I became a mother in 2008 and all of the sudden my focus became capturing moments of my son's life. I began receiving compliments on my pictures of him, one thing led to another and viola! Madison Vining Photography was born.
When did you first start taking photos?
I've always been an obsessive picture-taker, but professionally, I've only been taking pictures a couple of months.
How would you describe your "style" of photography?
I've been exploring new styles recently, but I love vintage yet modern looking photos.
What inspires you?
My son inspires me. He's 20 months old and everything he does is picture-worthy!
What would you like to accomplish with your photography? What are your goals?
Ultimately I would love to travel to poverty ridden countries and take pictures of children to give to their mothers. So many mothers will never have a single photo of their child, and I would feel so privileged to be able to provide them with one. Becoming a mother has made me feel deeply connected to all mothers, whether or not I will ever meet them, and anything I could do to bring those sweet tears of joy to a fellow mama, would absolutely be my dream job.
Do you offer product photography shoots?
I do offer product photography. I've found that I love the creative aspect of shooting products and marketing a business. I am excited to be working with BrooklynThread because the items are things I would (and do) wear myself.
What type of camera do you like to use?
Right now, I have a Canon Rebel. No complaints!
Where can fans find more information regarding your photography, what you're currently working on and possible special offers?
You can find me on Facebook, on my blog and on Twitter.
I'm so happy to be working with Madison and I think she's such a great fit with my jewelry line. If you're a fellow small business owner and are in need of photography services, I recommend contacting Madison. I will be posting photos of the BrooklynThread shoot soon! Madison - thank you so much for the interview - it was a pleasure!
