Tagged...8 things about me

I've been tagged by Sue... to write 8 random things about myself.

1) I love American television shows from the 1970's. They make me feel good. They are usually in a sunny place and everyone ends up happy ( except for the baddy who goes to jail).

2) I used to do some small bits of modelling. That was when I was...a few pounds lighter. I loved it because I love fashion, especially vintage fashion or the more unusual stuff. Once when I was helping out some fashion students with some modelling, I had to change clothes in a field of tall grass. There was a guy there that I wasnt very keen on and I knew he was going to try to sneak a peak so when it came time to change my trousers, I sat right down on the ground, well hidden in the very tall grass. I was so worried about this pervy bloke that I didnt realise until a moment later that I sat right on a huge ants nest, NAKED from the waist down.

3) I grew up living with my beautiful grandma which is probably where alot of my passion for "old fashioned" things comes from but I also have a love of 70's fashion probably due to my lovely mom who was a glamorous 70's girl.

4)I am an idealist.

5) I think they should still put "little house on the prarie" on the telly because kids were nicer when they had sensitive and kind stories to watch. I am also fully aware that this may not be considered "cool".

6) Paul, Dillon and I went to Salisbury Cathedral for a Christmas carol service years ago. Dillon was only about 9-10 years old. The service was being televised. Dillon...um...did a "smelly" and in his embarrassment,he had to lay the balme elsewhere. He looked at Paul and said "Dad!!" We began giggling and ended up laughing so hard we had to leave the cathedral for fear of interrupting the service!

7) I beleive in God and am not embarassed to say so.

8) I am full of contradictions. I love old fashioned traditonal values but i dont want things to be too "stuffy". I love old music like Gospel, the soundtrack to Oh brother where art thou, glenn miller etc, but I also love Metallica, Led Zeppelin, 70's funk and so much more. My favorite movies tend to be intelligent period films like room with a view, howards end, and so many more but I also really get moods for disaster films or spy movies.

9) I know there are only supposed to be 8 things but i suddenly remembered something else that I thought was important to include. I like very few sports with the exception of tennis and the olympics but I am crazy about the tour de France. I cant get enough of it and in past years the children have suffered a real lack of attention because I am riveted to the telly for the 3 weeks it is on!

I hope this wasnt too boring! I will have a think about who hasnt been tagged yet and then let you know.
