crafthings.com
yes! crafthings.com is finally opened! actually, we opened last friday 22 july, but i've have been too busy to do any updatesss.. we're celebrating crafthings.com's opening by offering a 10% discount on all items for our first month! which means this offer lasts till 22 aug! please let me know of anything which isn't working or if it's something you dislike blah blah blah.. ;-)
i have most probably mentioned this already, but anyways, for those of you who still do not know, crafthings.com has been in the planning for close to half a year, and has been in the making (hiccups here and there) for the past 3 months. we struck upon the idea when a friend casually mentioned about how i actually had more craft hardware supplies than completed items! oopps i guess.. i can be a reckless supplies shopper and hoarder at times, and so we've decided that adding onto the variety of craft stuff available online, and sharing what we know of and have access to ain't such a bad idea! since it can be quite difficult sometimes if there isn't really a decent craft supply outlet near your place or even in your state or country.. like singapore..
we're not completely done yet, still quite a number of items not uploaded yet, and we're planning to add more items every week.. this schedule depends very much on our ability to get the items, which we try to scour from around the globe with help from some buds + my current workload including forestprints + available time for photography, photo editing + and b's workload.. since he does all the backend stuff.. but we're all work horses who re-charge pretty fast with "live bands + new yummy food places + nature + cuddlin' + bitchin' therapy".. so.. ;)
we've been presented with some very pleasantly nice surprises, making acquaintances with some really sincerely nice, cool individuals who share similar ideals and who aren't afraid to dream and try to make their dreams become a reality, even b who has pretty stoned responses was visibly touched and expressed his feelings in kind openly... i can't go into detail since we respect their need for privacy.. anywaysss now we've a whole ton (seriously) of inspiration and supplies to work with.. so more busy days ahead! :D
i'm really on the go recently.. suffering slightly from ADD and have even managed, after all these freaking long time, finally, to participate in 2 swaps!!! details details... yes.. later.. time for comfy bed.. i keep losing concentration and jump from doing one thing to another so quickly that i've lost count of the unfinished projects laying around.. yawnzz..

blah
in bits and pieces...
the power of religion.. it can only be the promise of a glorious afterlife that somehow leads to such atrocious acts.. no one is 'born' into any religion.. yet mankind choose to artificially label ourselves as muslim, christian, jew etc. even 2 persons born with the same cultural heritage, same race, skin color, and nationality, can be so divided, just because one calls himself a christian, and the other a hindu etc.
so maybe religion is not totally to be blamed here, it's people who are misusing religion, the work of the extremists.. but surely if the existence of such a powerful and useful weapon is removed, no harm shall be caused by that weapon anymore..
i wonder if it's a very bad thing that my immunity to such occurences is pretty high.. i remember cooking noodles calmly for my friends who were seeking refuge in my apartment during 9/11 after being chased home from class mid way, in downtown chicago...
how i wish i was back in a country with at least 3 winter months... then i'd definitely appreciate this sweltering unbearable heat much more than i possibly could... and going to the beach would be so much more fun without having sand sticking to your perspiration...
and if only my dad were as approving and proud of me, as he is of so many others who are my peers... not that i care.. it just makes living around him so much easier..
i've been buried under work (what's new) after a very short wonderful weekend of fun and relaxation, thanks to my b, mao, di and gang! my inbox is choked full and emails seems to be trickling in in huge chunks.. something wrong again?!.. so if i've not replied your emails YET, please please forgive me.. i will get to them this weekend
it's an early night for me today.. 2.34am.. well, technically it's tomorrow..nitey nites...

the pinuggets
pinuggets = pin cushion nuggets! the pinuggets are a family of bouncing forest creatures who loves being pricked by prickly pins. hmmm… that sounds pretty sadistic, no? of course not! it's just like acupuncture for them! and not forgetting that they do a fabulous job of holding your sewing needles and pins too!
